Who We Are

The distinctive plea of churches of Christ throughout the world is to "go back to the Bible."  That is what we strive to do here at Mt. Zion. By speaking where the Bible speaks, by being silent where the Bible is silent, we can restore first century Christianity in the twenty first century (1 Peter 4:11).

Here are some things you will observe at one of our Sunday worship services:

Singing (Acapella): Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16

Praying (Male Leaders): Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17

The Lord's Supper/Communion: Acts 20:7; Matthew 26:26-29;

Preaching & Teaching the Word of God: Acts 20:7; Matthew 28:19-20.

Collection for the Saints/Offering: 1 Corinthians 16:1-2

An "invitation" is offered at the end of the service. This is given for those who are ready to obey the gospel by being baptized.

If anyone needs the prayers of the church they are welcome to come forward during the invitation song

and one of our leaders will have prayer for them.

God's Plan of Salvation

Hear God's Word
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17

Believe
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6

Repentance (turn away) of sins

"Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38

Confess
"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven."

- Matthew 10:32-33

Be Baptized:

"Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. - Mark 16:15-16

Live Faithfully:

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. - Revelation 2:10

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. - 1 John 1:7
